Lesnar and St. Pierre dominate their opponents to retain their championship gold, and Bisping is put to sleep by Dan "Hendo" Henderson.
The promotions 100th show, featured Welterweight champion GSP successfully defend his title, and Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar avenge his only loss to Frank Mir. UFC 100: Main Card Results Brock Lesnar vs. Frank MirHeavyweight TitleWinner: Lesnar via TKO Brock Lesnar retained his Heavyweight title after a vicious pounding on Interim champion Frank Mir. A bruised, bloodied and swollen Mir was over powered by the 265 pound beast with strikes to the head and face in 1:48 of second round. Officials had to step in when Brock stepped into the face of Mir after the fight. After the match a much hated Brock told the fans to keep booing and gave the audience two fingers to stir the pot some more. Georges St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves Welterweight TitleWinner: Georges St. Pierre via Unanimous Decision Another dominating performance by Georges St. Pierre, once again proved why he is the Welterweight champion. In all five rounds of this championship match St. Pierre controlled Alves on the ground and standing. In his corner at the end of the third round St. Pierre was heard telling Greg Jackson that he pulled his groin, St. Pierre toughed it out and controlled the last two rounds for the unanimous decision victory over the visibly swollen and bleeding Alves. In the post fight interview Georges is asked about the possibility of a face off with Anderson Silva in the octagon, which received a heavy round of cheers from the arena fans. In his response he stated that, “it was all about timing, and he is already champion so when he fights it is for a challenge and he would have to take the time and gain weight”. Michael Bisping vs. Dan HendersonNumber one contender matchKnockout of the NightWinner: Henderson via KO Henderson wins the first round landing shots and rocking Bisping. Bisping uses pretty good footwork and keeps busy landing a few jabs of his own. Henderson stalks Bisping in the second round, both exchange blows, but it’s Henderson that connects and knocks Bisping out cold, Henderson dropped another heavy hand to the down fighter even though he is sound asleep before ref steps in at 3:20 of the second round. In his post fight interview Henderson stated he wants a rematch with current Middleweight champion Anderson Silva. John Fitch vs. Paulo ThiagoWinner: Fitch via Unanimous Decision In a ground match, Thiago starts off with a tight choke on Fitch which he defends and is able to escape and get the back of Thiago. Fitch works from Thiago’s back for the remainder of the round. The last two round see Fitch score takedowns and submissions attempts as Thiago does a good job defending, Fitch keeps it busy on the ground. At the end of the three round fight, Fitch has scored enough points to take home the victory.
