A look at the Heavyweights that will make up Team Rampage and Team Evans. The tenth season premiers on Spike TV on September 16th, 2009. The Ultimate Fighter Season 10 ContestantsKevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson: 3-1, 6’2 The internet street figher sensation turned mixed martial artist joins the house this season. Kimbo made his professional mma debut with the fallen EliteXC holding wins over Bo Cantrell, Tank Abbott and Josh Thompson. Kimbo was last seen when he lost to Seth Petruziulli via TKO of the first round at EliteXC: Heat. Scott Junk: 6-2, 6’1 Junk made his Ultimate Fighting championship debut at UFC 79 where he was submitted via heel hook by Christian Wellisch of the first round. With a professional record of 6-2, his only other loss came at the hands of former UFC Heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez in his career debut. Roy Nelson: 13-4, 6’1 Nelson was last a part of the Independent Fight League where he held the Heavyweight title. Since the IFL Nelson competed in EliteXC: Heat where he was defeated by former UFC Heavyweight champion Andre Arlovski by knock out. Nelson last competed at March Badness where he lost a unanimous decision to Jeff Monson. Demico Rodgers: 0-0, 6’4 Rodgers has only one amateur fight coming into TUF season 10, where he conquered, Jim Halloway at Strikeforce: “Strikforce at the Dome” via TKO, before breaking into to mixed martial arts, Rodgers was a certified technician. Darill Schoonover: 10-0, 6’2 Getting his big break in mainstream mixed martial arts Schoonover is a fight finisher. All of Schoonover’s victories have been by way of TKO or submission. Marcus Jones: 4-1, 6’6 Jones a former professional football player for Tampa Bay is looking to take his new career of choice to the next level. Having won four of his fights by KO and submission. Jones was last seen at XCF: Rumble in Racetown with a knock out victory over John Juarez. Zak Jensen: 7-3, 6’4 Jensen has never gone the distance in any of his 10 professional bouts, his longest match lasted 3:09 of the first round with Jensen as the victor. Two of Jensen’s career losses came at the hands of former ultimate fighting championship fighter Brad Imes and Mike Whitehead both by way of submission. Brendan Schaub: 6’4 This former Buffalo Bills teammate is coming into the competition with training partners like heavyweight number one contender Shane Carwin and under the tutelage, of mixed martial arts coach Greg Jackson. Mike Wessel: 6-1, 6’0 Former strength and conditioning coach, Wessel walked into UFC 92 with a perfect 6-0 record before accepting a last minute bout against UFC Heavyweight Antoni Hardonk whom he was defeated by TKO in the second round. Wes Sims: 22-12-1, 6’10 Sims a former UFC heavyweight returns looking for his second chance in the dominant promotion. Losing all three of his bouts to Frank Mir and Mike Kyle before being released, Sims has been participating in smaller promotions. Abe Wagner: 6-4, 6’2 Wagner a college Football player last competed in December of 2008 where he was awarded the victory over Sherman Penderarst via split decision. Wagner is the former Victory Fighting Championships (VFC) Heavyweight champion. James McSweeney: 3-4, 6’4 Fighting out of Jackson martial arts, ScSweeney is a Cage Rage veteran, McSweeney most memorable win with the promotion would also be his last appearance at Cage Rage 28 - VIP, where he walked away with a KO victory over Roman Webber in just a mere 10 seconds of the first round. Wes Shivers: 0-0 6’7 Training out of Team Remix Shivers is a former teammate of the Tennessee Titians. Shivers is a Muay Thai practitioner and looking for his mark in mixed martial arts. Justin Wren: 6’1, 6’2 Wren a former collegiate wrestler has won five of his fights by TKO and one by submission. The only loss in his professional mixed martial arts career came by the hands of Matt Thompson in 2007. Matt Mitrione: 0-0, 6’3 Breaking into mixed martial arts after suffering from a leg injury that ended his professional football career. Mitrione comes from the Integrated Fighting Academy. Jon Madsen: 1-0, 6’0 Madsen walks into The Ultimate Fighter house with a victory over the current UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. Madsen defeated Lesnar in a high school wrestling match. Madsen was victorious in his first professional mma match with the win over Ryan Kotzea in 2008.
