The undercard of UFC 99: The Comeback, proves to be as exciting as the main card. Six exciting fights give our European fans a taste of each division.
Buliding the foundation for an arleady stacked main card, the undercard for UFC 99: The comeback proves to be just was powerful as the main card. Terry Etim vs. Justin Buchholz Etim and Buchholz finally meet after their first match was cancelled at UFC 95 after Etim suffered injury. After winning his debut match with the Ultimate Fighting Championships against Matt Grice, the 6’1 light weight, went through a rough patch losing matches to Gleison Tiban and Rich Clementi. It wasn't until UFC 89 Etim was able to get back to his winning ways, when he defeated Canadian fighter Sam Stout and Brian Cobbs at UFC 95. Looking to continue his winning streak Etim meets Justin Buchholz in this light weight battle. On a four fight win streak before making his debut in the UFC at fight night 12. Buchholz lost his debut match at UFC fight night 12 against Matt Witman via guillotine choke. Buchholz redeemed himself at UFC 86 when he defeated Corey Hill in the same manner he lost his prior match in the second round. Walking into his third octagon bout in the UFC, these two lightweights battle for placement in the lightweight division. Dale Hartt vs. Dennis SiverIn another light weight battle Dale Hartt meets Dennis Siver. Hartt losing his debut match by rear naked choke to Shannon Gugerty at UFC: Silva vs. Irvin, made his comeback at UFC: Fight for the Troops where he defeated Corey Hill. Fighting for his hometown fans Siver holds a UFC record of 2 wins and 3 losses to Melvin Gullard, Gray Maynard and Jess Liaudin. Last appreaing in the octagon at UFC 93 Siver won his macth against Nate Mohr via TKO Stefan Struve vs. Dennis StojnicThe 6’11, 254 pound Holland heavyweight Stefan Struve, will have the opportunity to make his presence felt in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Losing his debut macth against Brazilian heavyweight Junior Dol Santos at UFC 95 to strikes in just under a minute of the first round. Dennis Stojnic steps up to the plate and takes on the man that towers over him by an entire foot. At 5’11 Stojnic is also coming in to make a name for himself in the UFC. Stojnic made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night: Lauzon vs. Stephens, in which did not turn out as he hoped, he succumbed to the strikes of Cain Velasquez in the second round. Come Saturday both fighters will be fighting for survival. It has been said for the loser Saturday night, will be the last time they fight in the octagon. Peter Sobotta vs. Paul TaylorIn a welter weight bout Sobotta will make his UFC debut in his home Country of Germany. With a professional MMA record of 8 wins and 1 loss, this will be Sobotta’s first fight on an international card. Since making his debut at UFC 70, Taylor has maintained a record of three losses and two wins, against Ediberito De Olivera at UFC 70 and Jess Liaudin at UFC 85. Coming in off a loss to Chris Lytle at UFC 89, this will be the first time Taylor will be fighting overseas and not in his home country of England. Paul Kelly vs. Roli DelgadoWolfslair Academy middleweight Paul Kelly, makes his fourth appearance in the UFC after securing a unanimous decision victory over Troy Mandaloniz at UFC 95. Kelly holds a UFC record of 2 wins and 1 loss. A former member of team Mir on The Ultimate Fighter . Roli had his debut match at the UFC: The Ultimate Finale 8 where he emerged victorious over John Polakowski via submission. John Hathaway vs. Rick StoryWith an unbeaten professional mixed martial arts record of 10 wins, Hathaway made his UFC debut at UFC 93 with a TKO victory over Thomas Egan in the first round. Looking to retain his unbeaten record, Hathaway will face Rick Story. Story was first to make his UFC debut after speculation that Karo Parisyan would not fight his scheduled fight against Dong Hyun Kim. Karo showed up for the fight leaving Story with no opponent for the UFC 94. Five cards later Story will have his chance to make his debut in this welterweight bout. See below for the Main Card:
